Probably due to the point listed above, there are frequently times when there are zero drivers available. ![]() During peak times (rush hour, late nights, etc), and often for no apparent goddamn reason at all, prices increase. I had one guy go on a complete bitch-fest about how much he hated driving for Lyft. Those that do, tend to try to sell the other service. Many Uber drivers have started also driving for Lyft. This really isn't a big deal at all, but thought it was worth mentioning. Lyft encourages their drivers to be outgoing, so there have been rare times where I've felt obligated to carry a convo. (This pattern seems to have changed over the past several months, presumably as a result of new growth).įares tend to be a little cheaper with Lyft (except during surge pricing times. The drivers tended to be more friendly and outgoing. The cars, in my experience, tend to be nicer/newer I've used both services many times and both have their pros and cons. I live in deep Ellum and use Lyft and Uber exclusively. ![]()
